Global Grants Information

Global Grants: Education Abroad Scholarships for International Affairs Majors

The International Affairs (IAFS) Advisory Board generously awards Global Grants to deserving IAFS majors each semester.  Approximately 5-10 awards are given each semester, for up to $3,000 each towards a CU Boulder Education Abroad program. The Global Grants Program was established to help IAFS students develop foreign language and intercultural skills and expose them to social and political contexts that enhance their CU Boulder coursework in a real-world setting. Because the program has distinct awards for study in many regions across the globe, students are encouraged to consider programs beyond the traditional western European hubs.

Who’s Eligible?
  1. Global Grants are awarded based on merit and need.  Applicants must be IAFS majors.
  2. Resident and non-resident students may apply.
  3. All education abroad terms are eligible for the Global Grants.
  4. Awardees will be required to provide photos and information about their experience to the IAFS department.  The award letter provides details about this.
